3 Huge Draft surprises that could happen
Penei Sewell gets drafted after Rashawn Slater
Penei Sewell (Left) is a generational prospect. He has size, speed, strength, just all physical attributes you need from an offensive tackle. But there is one problem with him. His technique. He has terrible technique. He will most likely need about a season to half a season of development for him to be starting. He is a project, but when it is finished, it will be amazing. He will be one of the most dominant tackles if he is developed correctly. Rashawn Slater (Right) on the other hand, can be a day one starter. He has the technique of a lineman down, and also has size and strength.
2. Pats skip on a quarterback and trade up to get Gronk replacement
Kyle Pitts is a truly generational talent. He had a grand total of 0 DROPS last season. That's Larry Fitzgerald stuff right there. There has been a huge hole at tight end ever since Gronk left. The Patriots tried filling it with 3rd round pick Devin Asiasi but he only had 2 catches for 39 yards. If they draft Kyle Pitts, he will become the next Gronk and become the main target of the new Pats quarterback (Garoppolo?) on a sluggish offense.
3. Falcons skip quarterback and draft the best defensive player in the draft
Micah Parsons has established himself as the best defensive player in an offensive focused draft class. The middle linebacker from Penn State is an excellent tackler, and can definitely hold his own in coverage. The Falcons need a quarterback of the future, and this class is one of the biggest quarterback classes ever. But they have Matt Ryan. He's old but still a good quarterback. The Falcons need so much help on defense they need Parsons. He will be a perfect complement to Deion Jones and will be a key building block for the Falcons.
