Top 10 Remaining Free Agents

3/17/2021

Now that every player has been Franchise Tagged, we can really rank the top free agents that are going to be on the market. I'll also be showing my prediction of where they will go.

  1. Shaquil Barrett

Shaquil Barrett is a sack machine. Arguably the most underrated player in the NFL, he put up 19.5 SACKS in 2019. That is an insane number. He should have won DPOY but it instead went to Stephon Gilmore. He only had 8 sacks this season, but then put up 4 more in the postseason. He is an absolute beast. After the Bucs used their franchise tag on Godwin and signed Lavonte David to a new contract, I don't think it's realistic for the Bucs to resign him. After cutting Richie Incognito and trading Trent Brown, the Raiders have a lot of cap space. If they can pull it off, the Raiders might have the Kallil Mack replacement they've been trying to find for years.

Landing Spot: Raiders

2. Kenny Golladay

"Babytron" is going to get a lot of attention in free agency. There are so many teams in Free Agency that need a true number 1 receiver. And Golladay is the only #1 receiver in free agency. So teams will be on their knees to sign him. His 2020 season was happened with a reoccurring hip injury making Golladay miss most of the season. He will most likely land with a team that needs offensive weapons with lots of cap room, like the Jets or Jags. Personally, I think Golladay would rather go to the Jags.

Landing Spot: Jags

3. Aaron Jones

Edit: Resigned with Packers

After a surprising move of the Packers not tagging him, Jones will walk into free agency as the best running back available in this deep class consisting of Chris Carson, Kenyan Drake, and James Connor. There are many teams with a week running back that would like an improvement. Jones is the perfect back. He is a workhorse who can take over 30 carries a game and not complain. He will do whatever is asked and still produce amazing numbers. The dolphins are a run first offense. Whoever is starting will get a lot of carries. They need Jones.

Landing Spot: Dolphins

4. Trent Williams

The best offensive lineman in this class, Trent Williams will attract a lot of attention. The 32 Year old 8 Time pro bowler still has a lot of juice left in him and can instantly make an entire O-Line better. His experience and skill will boost other players and make a bad o-line good. I was thinking the Bengals would be a good spot for him but a recent Tweet has hinted Trent wants to stay in San Fransico. It will be hard but John Linch has the cap space to do it

Landing Spot: 49ers

5. Joe Thuney

The other best lineman in free agency. He is a very good guard, he is only 28, and best yet, he never missed a game. That is extremely valuable in an O-Lineman, considering it is one of the most injured positions. Everyone thought the Pats were going to franchise tag him but instead let him walk and replaced him with Trent Brown. There is a chance the Pats will try to retain him but the Bengals have such a bad O-Line and so much cap room they have to get him

Landing Spot: Bengals

6. Anthony Harris

Do not let his down season make you forget his amazing 2019 season. He had 6 picks. He was all over the field and picking balls off left and right. He had a down season this year because of an injured Vikings Defense but he can still be a threat way downfield. The Dolphins have a lot of cap room and they had the league's leading interceptor with Xavien Howard who had 10 in 1 season. If they added Harris to that defense OCs will be scared of them for a long time.

Landing Spot: Dolphins

7. John Johnson III

One of the more underrated players in the NFL, John Johnson has been a staple on the number 1 defense in the NFL. He is more of a tackler, and an interceptor, and is hard hitting. He will instantly improve a secondary. He is also very young and can be signed to a 4 to 5 year deal. I don't know why, but I can picture John Johnson in a Patriots jersey. He would be a great addition to Belichick's team. He will be a young strong piece on their secondary

Landing Spot: Patriots

8. Corey Linsley

The last O-Lineman on this list. You might not know who this guy is. He only made the first team all-pro this season and guarded the 2020 MVP. He is very Agile and strong, making him a good fit for almost any team. The Bengals had a terrible O-Line last season, making Joe Burrow tear his ACL and MCL. The most important position on an O-Line is the center, and Corey Lindsley is perfect for the spot.

Landing Spot: Bengals

9. Trey Hendrickson

This guy was known by almost NO ONE, until out of nowhere, he just put up 13.5 sacks. In his first full season as a starter, he blew up. This just shows how much potential this guy has. If he can land in the right team, he will put up probably about the same production. The Pats have the third most Cap Space in the league, and if there is anyone who can turn this guy into more of a star, it's Belichick.

Landing Spot: Patriots

10. Haason Reddick

Haason Reddick was a first round pick in the 2017 draft. He barely put up any production and was labeled a bust. Then in Week 14, in the 2020 season, everyone knew Haason Reddicks name. He had 5 sacks against the Giants. FIVE. He set a franchise record that day and there was nothing the giants could do to stop him. He finished the season with 12.5 sacks. The Browns failed to get JJ Watt and need an edge rusher opposite of Myles Garret. Reddick is perfect for the job

Landing Spot: Browns
